Co-production is about developing equal partnerships between the people who use services and those who run them. By engaging closely with parent carers of disabled children from the beginning, on a basis of mutual respect, co-production can be used to overcome barriers, manage expectations and solve complex problems. And when successful, co-production leads to improved outcomes for both families and service providers – by getting it right first time.

Salford Parent Carer sit alongside strategic partners in Salford City Council, Health services, and community/voluntary organisations, with the aim of sharing the views of our members and improving SEND services in Salford.
We are always wanting more parent carers to join us and support the work we do. You can join us as a volunteer, or a Parent Rep, whether you can spare and hour a month or an hour a week, any help is appreciated.
Every term, SalfordPCF alongside Salford City Council and Health organisations, co-host the Parent Assembly. This is an opportunity for Parent Carers to hear from different services and how they can support families. Parent Carers can also ask questions and share their views and experiences.
Visit our "What's on" page for up and coming dates.
We have lots of opportunities to meet in person. There is usually a meet up at least once a week, these include walk and talk sessions at Clifton Country Park, cuppa and catch ups at Parr Fold Pavillion, evening sessions at the Beacon Centre and many more. Have a look at our "what's on" page for more details.
We always have surveys open for any on-going pieces of work we are doing. As part of our commitment to co-production, we include feedback from parent carers who cannot attend in person, their views are equally as important.
Head to our "Have your say" page to see what we are working on.
If you need to speak to a member of our team directly, we are happy to chat on the phone or via email.
